Welcome Home!
Catholics understand Baptism to be a permanent thing. We may find ourselves at odds with the Church over any number of things... We might be gone for years and years... But if someone is baptized Catholic, then they are Catholic - even if they're Baptist!
Still, the news these past years has made it clear that while someone may well "be a Catholic," they may not believe what the Church believes, live as the Church lives or celebrate as the Church celebrates... In many ways, being a Catholic is different than living a Catholic life. Being a Catholic is a minimum - a baseline. All it takes is a ceremony before memory... But living the Catholic life that promises the hope of eternal salvation... well that's something entirely different. That's no minimum, that's the adventure that we hope you're here for!
